Clemens Theodor Reichert

Clemens Theodor Reichert (born December 29, 1829 in Lübben , † November 29, 1893 in Görlitz ) was a German local politician, member of the Prussian manor house and from 1881 until his death mayor of Görlitz .

Life

Reichert was the son of the regional judge Gustav August Reichert (born October 18, 1798 in Guben ; † May 31, 1836 in Marienwerder ) and his wife Elise geb. Anton (born May 10, 1810 in Calau ; † August 31, 1888 in Marienwerder). He attended the Marienwerder high school . During his law studies in Königsberg (Prussia) he became a member of the Germania fraternity in 1849 . He then embarked on a legal career as a judge, lawyer and judicial advisor in Thorn , until he became second mayor and in-house counsel in 1880, and from 1881 Lord Mayor of Görlitz. From 1882 he was a member of the Prussian manor house as a representative of the city of Görlitz. In 1888 he became a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Silesia . From 1881 he was a member of the Upper Lusatian Society of Sciences . His marriage to Ida Räschke (* 1835) in 1862 gave birth to two sons and a daughter.
