Dániel Böde (born October 24, 1986 in Szekszárd ) is a Hungarian national football player . The striker has been playing for the Hungarian national football team since February 2013 . From 2012 to 2019 he was under contract with the Hungarian record champions Ferencváros Budapest , with whom he became champions twice and won the cup three times. For the 2019/20 season he returned to his parent club Paksi SE .

Career

society

Böde played for Paksi SE in the central Hungarian town of Paks on the Danube from 2006 to 2012 . In 2011, the club, which had only narrowly escaped relegation, became runner-up. With 15 goals, he was the third best, but the best Hungarian goalscorer in the league. The club qualified for the 2011/12 UEFA Europa League for the first time . Here they survived the first two qualifying rounds, but then failed after a 1-1 home game with 1: 4 against the Scottish cup winner Heart of Midlothian , with Böde scoring the consolation goal for the Hungarians in the 89th minute. In the league he then scored only ten goals and Paksi was only sixth.

For the 2012/13 season he moved to the Hungarian record champions Ferencváros Budapest , who had not won a title since 2004. Under the new coach Thomas Doll , who took over the post in December 2013, he scored 17 goals, only one goal less than the Frenchman Adamo Coulibaly , which helped Ferencváros improve from 11th to fifth place. In 2013/14 he scored only 11 goals, but Ferencváros qualified third for the first qualifying round of the 2014/15 UEFA Europa League . After they were able to eliminate the Maltese cup finalist Sliema Wanderers in the first round , they failed in the second round at the Croatian cup winner HNK Rijeka . In the 2014/15 championship season he was third-best goalscorer and runner-up and cup winner with 13 goals - the first cup win for Ferencváros since 2004. In July 2015 he also won the Supercup against Videoton. Ferencváros drew level with Debreceni Vasutas SC in the number of Supercup victories . As runners-up, they were also qualified for the 1st qualifying round for the 2015/16 UEFA Europa League , which Ferencváros survived against the Dutch first division relegated Go Ahead Eagles Deventer , who had received the qualification place via the fair play rating. In the next round, however, Ferencváros failed at the Bosnian runner-up FK Željezničar Sarajevo . In the four games he scored a goal in a 4-1 against the Eagles.

In the 2015/16 season he helped with 17 goals as the top scorer that Ferencváros became champions again for the first time since 2004 and reached 21 points ahead of previous year's champions Videoton FC , the highest point difference since the championship round was abolished in 2004. In addition, Ferencváros was able to defend the cup with a 1-0 win against local rivals Újpest Budapest . As champions, they also qualified for the second qualifying round for the 2016/17 UEFA Champions League . There they failed to FK Partizani Tirana on penalties after both games had ended 1-1, whereby he scored the goal to equalize 1-1 in the first leg in Tirana. In the 2016/17 season they were able to defend the cup, although it was not used in the final. In the league , however, it was only enough for fourth place, which entitles them to participate in the first qualifying round for the 2017/18 UEFA Europa League . They survived this with two victories against the Latvian runner-up FK Jelgava . In the second round it came out after two defeats against FC Midtjylland . In the four games he was not used and only sat on the bench in the last game.

After 200 league games for Ferencváros, in which he scored 88 goals, he returns to his home club Paksi SE .

National team

Böde came on February 6, 2013 at the age of 26 in the friendly against Belarus for his first international match, when he came on in the 65th minute for Norbert Mészáros . In the next game, the World Cup qualifier against Romania , he only sat on the bench, but was substituted on four days later against Turkey in the 68th minute and scored the goal for the 1-1 final three minutes later and thus his first international goal . In the following friendly against Kuwait he made his debut in the starting line-up, but was replaced in the second half. In the 3-0 win against Romania on September 6, 2013 in qualifying for the 2014 World Cup , he then played over 90 minutes for the first time. He also played the following two games over the full distance, but had to wait two years before his next appearance after the 8-1 record defeat against the Netherlands .

On October 8, 2015, he was substituted on under the national coach Bernd Storck , who has been in office since September 2015, in the qualifying game for the Euro 2016 against the Färoer with a score of 0: 1 in the second half and scored both goals for a 2: 1 victory. With that he secured Hungary at least a place in the relegation of the third group. Due to a 3: 4 defeat against Greece in the last group game, the only victory of the Greeks in the qualification, they still missed the direct qualification as the best group third. Böde played over 90 minutes, but only attracted attention with a yellow card . In the following relegation first leg against Norway , which his teammates won 1-0 in Oslo , he only sat on the bench. In the second leg in Budapest he was substituted on in the 62nd minute and received his second yellow card in the competition in the 81st minute. With a 2-1 victory, the Hungarians qualified for a European Championship finals for the first time since 1972. He was only substituted on in the friendly game in March 2016.

On May 9th, he was appointed to the provisional EM squad and then, after a substitution against African champions Ivory Coast, on May 27th, he was also considered for the final squad four days later. In the first group game against Portugal he has not yet been used. In the second game against Iceland he was substituted on in the 66th minute when the score was 0: 1 for Tamás Priskin from Hungary, who was the worst rated by the kicker . His opponent Birkir Már Sævarsson was then able to prevent Böde from getting to the ball in the 88th minute with a cross from Nemanja Nikolics , but steered it into his own goal when trying to defend, so the Hungarians came to a late equalizer. Then he had a second short appearance in the round of 16: Hungary was behind against Belgium and wanted to turn the game around with two substitutions in the final quarter of an hour, instead the opponent was able to expand their lead to 4-0 and Hungary was eliminated.

In the qualification for the 2018 World Cup , which began after the European Championship , he was only used as a substitute in three of the first eight games after which the Hungarians no longer had a chance to qualify for the World Cup, as they not only against Switzerland and European champions Portugal, but also lost against Andorra . In the UEFA Nations League 2018/19 he had only one, so far his last mission on 18 November 2018 against Estonia .
