Dörrnwasserlos is a village and district of Scheßlitz in the Upper Franconian district of Bamberg . In March 2005 Dörnwasserlos had 82 inhabitants.

Surname

One interpretation of the unusual name relates to the geological location ( to the arid or thorny water loess ), another to the Old High German term losi , losa , which denotes a levy or tax based on use.

history

On January 1, 1972, the place was initially incorporated into Stübig as part of the regional reform in Bavaria . Together with Stübig, the place moved to the nearby town of Scheßlitz on May 1, 1978 .
