Strassgiech

Straßgiech is a district of Scheßlitz in the Upper Franconian district of Bamberg and had 556 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2006).

The place is about twelve kilometers northeast of Bamberg . Until 1985, Straßgiech was connected to the railway network with the Giech stop on the Bamberg – Scheßlitz railway line.

Straßgiech and Wiesengiech

Straßgiech, together with the directly adjacent district of Wiesengiech , formed the community of Giech from April 1, 1971 until it was incorporated into Scheßlitz on May 1, 1978.

Brewery Drei Kronen

Brewery Drei Kronen

The Drei Kronen brewery, founded in 1308 and one of the oldest breweries in the world, is located in Straßgiech .

Bakery Rahmer

The Straßgiecher bakery Rahmer, also called "Giecher Bäck", is regionally known, which sells meat loaf and other products during the day and in the evening from 11 p.m. in addition to the everyday sale of baked goods.
