Doschendorf is a Franconian hamlet that belongs to Scheßlitz .

geography

The hamlet located on the north-eastern edge of the Bamberg foothills is one of ten officially named districts of the town of Scheßlitz in Upper Franconia . It is located about four kilometers north-northeast of Scheßlitz and is at an altitude of 355  m above sea level. NHN .

history

Until the beginning of the 19th century Doschendorf was under the sovereignty of the Bamberg Monastery . The dominant village and community rulership in the Franconian area was exercised by the Burgellern cathedral provost office, which was a media of the bishopric. The Memmelsdorf office , which is also Bamberg's office, was entitled to exercise the high jurisdiction in its role as the central office . When the Bamberg Monastery was secularized as a result of the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss 1802/03 and annexed by the Electorate Palatinate-Baiern in breach of the Imperial Constitution , Doschendorf also became part of the New Bavarian territories that were occupied during the Napoleonic land consolidation .

Due to the administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , Doschendorf became part of the independent rural community of Stübig with the second municipal edict in 1818 . In the course of the communal territorial reform in Bavaria carried out in the 1970s , the hamlet was incorporated into the town of Scheßlitz on May 1, 1978, together with the now enlarged community of Stübig. In 1987 Doschendorf had 18 inhabitants.

traffic

The connection to the public road network is made exclusively by a community road, which, coming from the west-north-west of Pausdorf , continues after passing through the town in an east- south- east direction to the state road St 2210 .
