Dalton City (also Thick Air in Dalton City ) is an album from the Lucky Luke comic series . It was drawn by Morris and written by René Goscinny and first appeared in 1968.

The Daltons are fascinated by the Texas ghost town of Fenton Town , a former attraction for desperados from all over the area. When leader Joe is unexpectedly released from prison, he immediately frees his brothers to turn the abandoned city into Dalton City . Lucky Luke, who quickly finds out about the gangsters, is caught and has to serve as a guinea pig for the new restaurateurs. Joe wants to marry the bar singer Lulu and invites all kinds of desperados to do so. At the planned marriage date, Lulu announces that she is already married, and shortly afterwards Lucky Luke wants to arrest all the assembled desperados. In his favor, the cavalry appears in time and the assembled crew moves to prison.

The story was first published in 1968 in Pilote magazine and in 1969 as an album on Le Lombard .

In 1972 it appeared in German in the Zack Comic Box series and in 1983 the album was released by Ehapa (volume 36).

The story was filmed for the Lucky Luke animated series in 1984 .
