Daniel Dvoress (born July 12, 1988 in the Soviet Union ) is a professional Canadian poker player .

Dvoress has made more than $ 15.5 million playing poker in live tournaments . He won the Bahamas Super High Roller Bowl in November 2019 and a bracelet at the World Series of Poker Online in early August 2020 .

Poker career

Dvoress has been playing online since November 2006 under the nicknames Oxota ( PokerStars ) and Oxotaments ( Full Tilt Poker ) . In May 2014. won Dvoress on PokerStars a tournament of the Spring Championship of Online Poker and received its highest ever online prize money of 400,000 US dollars . Overall, he has more than $ 2.5 million in online tournament winnings. Since 2013 Dvoress has also been participating in renowned live tournaments .

At the end of August 2014, Dvoress made it into the money at the main event of the European Poker Tour (EPT) in Barcelona and received almost 55,000 euros in prize money for his 17th place . In mid-March 2015 he finished third at the EPT High Roller in Malta and received 263,000 euros. At the end of October 2015, Dvoress sat in the same place at the unofficial final table of the EPT Main Event and finished the tournament in seventh place for more than 90,000 euros in prize money. In December 2015, he finished sixth at the EPT Super High Roller in Prague for around 170,000 euros. In early January 2016, he made the final table of both the High Roller and the Super High Roller of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventures (PCA) in the Bahamas , securing more than $ 500,000 within four days. The following year he finished fourth in the Super High Roller of the PokerStars Championship (PSC) in the Bahamas for just under 600,000 US dollars. Dvoress was also at the final table at the PSC Super High Roller in Panama City and secured second place behind Ben Tollerene for around 370,000 US dollars. From the end of April to the beginning of May 2017, Dvoress was in Monte-Carlo for the PokerStars Championship . There he cashed within a week in the main event , the high roller and super high roller as well as two other one-day high roller events. This brought him prize money of more than 1.5 million euros. At the end of October 2017, Dvoress finished fourth in the Super High Roller of the Asia Championship of Poker in Macau for the equivalent of more than 750,000 US dollars. Mid-January 2018, he won as part of the PCA in the Bahamas a tournament variant No Limit Hold'em and his first live tournament ever. The tournament had a field of just six players and ended after a deal with fellow countrymen Timothy Adams and Sam Greenwood . Previously, Dvoress was considered the world's best poker player without a tournament win. At the end of April 2018, he finished fifth on an EPT high roller in Monte-Carlo for 179,000 euros. In mid-November 2018, Dvoress finished third in the high roller at the partypoker Caribbean Poker Party in Nassau , Bahamas, which was paid for with $ 210,000. A month later, he finished fifth at the EPT High Roller in Prague for more than 150,000 euros. At the end of April 2019, Dvoress took fourth place at the EPT Super High Roller in Monte-Carlo, endowed with more than 550,000 euros. Around a week later, he made five money ranks at the Triton Super High Roller Series in Budva, Montenegro, and secured prize money equivalent to more than 2.7 million US dollars. In mid-November 2019, Dvoress won the Super High Roller Bowl Bahamas and secured a prize of around 4 million US dollars. Just one day after this success, he won a partypoker Millions World Bahamas event played on the same spot with a short deck and received $ 375,000. In August 2020, the Canadian won the Millionaire Maker of the World Series of Poker Online played on GGPoker due to the COVID-19 pandemic and received just under 1.5 million US dollars and a bracelet .
