Daniel João Santos Candeias (born February 25, 1988 in Fornos de Algodres ) is a Portuguese football player .

Career

society

In 2008 Candeias joined the first team from the U-19 team of FC Porto . After a month he was loaned to the second division club Varzim SC . After a year he returned to FC Porto and was in its squad for the 2008/09 season in the Portuguese Super League . He gained his first experiences in the Champions League in the game FC Porto - Arsenal by substituting in the 79th minute. Candeias plays in the winger position . In the summer break of 2014 he moved to the 2nd Bundesliga for 1. FC Nürnberg on loan until the end of the 2014/15 season . During the winter break, Candeias' loan deal was terminated after 16 second division appearances in which he had scored two goals. It was awarded to the Spanish first division club Granada CF. For the 2016/17 season he was at the Turkish first division club Alanyaspor .

In June 2017 Candeias moved to Scotland for the Glasgow Rangers . Two years later he moved to Turkey to Gençlerbirliği Ankara .

National team

Candeias played at the 2007 U-19 European Championship in Austria and was part of the Portuguese U-21 national team between 2008 and 2010 .
