Career
Lopes Silva played for various clubs in his youth. He started his professional career at Parnahyba EC , with which he won the 2006 Piauí National Championship. Via ADRC Icasa he came to Fortaleza EC in the second Brazilian division after a brief interlude with the first division club Náutico Capibaribe .
In December 2007 Lopes Silva signed a three-year contract valid from January 2008 with the Swedish club Kalmar FF. At the side of his compatriot César Santin , he was used on the offensive of the club. After he was mainly used as a substitute at the beginning of the season, he was able to play in the regular formation towards the end of the 2008 season and contributed with five goals this season to win the Lennart Johansson Cup for the Swedish championship. In the following season, too, he was largely a member of coach Nanne Bergstrand's starting line-up and, with six goals each season and assists , was one of the decisive players on the club’s offensive alongside Rasmus Elm , Tobias Eriksson and Daniel Mendes , who was fourth in the table European Cup moved in. In the following years, the club slipped into the middle of the table, especially after the departure of some top performers, Lopes Silva was still one of the regular players for long periods.
In September 2011 Lopes Silva announced a change within Sweden. As the first Brazilian player in the club's history, he joined IFK Göteborg at the end of the 2011 season , where he signed a four-year contract. In his first season with his new club still a regular player, he scored four goals in 21 league games. In the 2013 season he lost his regular place, so that he was mainly used as a substitute. He also sat on the bench in the final of the Swedish National Cup in the summer of 2013, before coach Mikael Stahre replaced him with Pontus Farnerud in the 59th minute for Emil Salomonsson and Sam Larsson . In the penalty shootout , which he did not have to play, the team around Tobias Hysén , Adam Johansson , John Alvbåge and Mattias Bjärsmyr won the title against the Stockholm club Djurgårdens IF .
In mid-August 2014, Lopes Silva, who had only started twice in eight appearances in the 2014 season, was on loan to league rivals Örebro SK until the end of the season . There he played eleven games by the end of the season, in which he scored three goals. At the end of January 2015, the club and the players terminated the contract early.
A few days after his contract termination in Sweden, Lopes Silva signed a contract with his former playing station Fortaleza EC in Brazil.
