David Pasquesi
David Pasquesi (born December 22, 1960 in Chicago , Illinois ) is an American actor , comedian and improviser .
life and career
Pasquesi was born and raised in Chicago , Illinois . He studied under Del Close in the early 1980s and became a member of the first iO theater team, the Baron's Barracudas . He is considered one of the oldest ensemble members of the Chicago theaters and theater groups The Second City , iO Theater , Improv Institute (existed 1984-1994 in Chicago) and Annoyance Theater . He plays alongside Chris Farley , Tim Meadows , Joel Murray and Bob Odenkirk in Second City . Pasquesi also appears at the Steppenwolf Theater and the Goodman Theater. Since 2002 he has played together with TJ Jagodowski in "TJ & Dave", one of the most popular improvisation shows that is still running today . The show will be performed in Chicago and New York City .
In addition to Mary Beth Fisher , Keith Kupferer and Beth Lacke , Pasquesi was a member of the ensemble at the Chicago premiere of Yasmina Reza’s play Der Gott des Gemetzels (English title: God of Carnage - French original title: Le Dieu du carnage ) - directed by Rick Snyder at the Goodman Theater. The triple Tony Award- winning drama was on the program in Chicago from March 5 to April 10, 2011.
The 2009 South by Southwest Film Festival screened the documentary Trust Us, This is All Made Up - Director: Alex Karpovsky , which chronicles the "TJ & Dave" show.
His screen appearances as a supporting actor include Groundhog Day's greetings (Original: Groundhog Day ) - Director : Harold Ramis , as Stew in the comedy series Strangers with Candy from Comedy Central , as Tony in Back to You (Original: Return to Me ) - Directed by Bonnie Hunt with David Duchovny and James Belushi and with John Cusack and Billy Bob Thornton as Councilman Williams in The Ice Harvest - Directed by Harold Ramis.
He played a leading role in Steve Delahoyde's short film Regrets , he also starred alongside Jeff Garlin in his first own film I Want Someone to Eat Cheese With together with Sarah Silverman and Bonnie Hunt . Pasquesi also works as a writer, for example for Exit 57 and Strangers With Candy , for the television comedy series Factory - in which Pasquesi starred alongside Mitch Rouse , Michael Coleman and Jay Leggett himself. He was also active in the Cop Show with Tracy Letts as a writer and actor. In 2009, Pasquesi played the character Claudio Vincenzi in Ron Howard 's Illuminati . In Harold Ramis' last film from 2009, Year One - Every Beginning Is Hard (Original: Year One) , Pasquesi played a supporting role as Prime Minister of Sodom .
Since 2013, Pasquesi has played the eternally pessimistic paramedic Macauley in several episodes of the Chicago Fire television series .
He wrote for the new show Merkin Penal , which he helped develop.
