The Böblingen deanery is one of 25 deaneries in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart and consists of ten pastoral care units and 27 parishes, including eight native-speaking parishes (one Portuguese, four Italian and three Croatian parishes). The Catholic deanery Böblingen was established on January 1, 1970, when the deanery Weil der Stadt was renamed and divided into Leonberg and Weil der Stadt. It received its current form in 1974 with the integration of Leonberg and the renaming to Böblingen. The Dean's office is located in Böblingen in the district of Böblingen .

tasks

As the "middle level" between the diocese and parishes, the dean's office performs three tasks: It supports the parishes of the dean's office in their pastoral mandate, represents the Catholic Church in regional social and cultural issues and communicates the concerns of the bishop.
