Deniz Mujić (born August 7, 1990 in Dornbirn ) is an Austrian football player .

FC Dornbirn

Mujić began his career at the age of six in the youth team of FC Dornbirn . There he developed into a promising talent over the years and made his debut in 2007 for the combat team in the third-class Regionalliga West .

Despite his young age, he was able to fight for a regular place straight away and became the club's third-best goal scorer with four goals this season. Due to his strong performances, especially at the beginning of the season, the Austrian record champions Rapid Wien tried to sign the player during the winter break, but this failed with the veto of Mujić himself. The 2007/08 season ended the ambitious Mujić with the team with a disappointing tenth place in the table.

With the commitment of Armand Benneker as coach for the 2008/09 season , the team presented itself completely changed with a new system and occupied a place in the top third of the table from the beginning of the season. Mujić advanced as a hanging tip to one of the top performers of the team and shone next to his assists with eight goals also in the end. At the end of the season he returned with the club as a champion of the Regionalliga West after 20 years in Austrian professional football.

In the second division, the club had a bad start and slipped to the bottom of the table right at the beginning of the season. There were only two victories before the winter break and was the last one. As a result, a total of five newcomers were brought in for the spring season, including three offensive forces. Mujić, who could not score a single goal in the entire first half of the season, stagnated in his development and ran the risk of losing his secure regular place to newcomer Wilfried Domoraud . As a result, Mujić completed a trial training at the German second division club Karlsruher SC , but received no contract offer and stayed with his previous team for the second half of the season. For the second half of the 2009/10 season , the team showed a slight upward trend, which, however, quickly subsided due to the refusal of a license in the first instance by the Bundesliga. Even before the end of the season, the club's management announced that it would not appeal and accept the forced relegation. As a result, Mujić was last with the club on a sporting level and was relegated back to the third division. Personally, he was able to increase his performance in the second half of the season and scored a total of three goals.

FC Bayern Munich II and FC Pasching

In July 2010 he left the club after 13 years as a player of FC Dornbirn and signed a contract with FC Bayern Munich , for whose second team he played in the third division , a contract that was valid until June 30, 2012. On August 3, 2010 (3rd matchday) he made his debut in the 4-1 defeat in the away game against Kickers Offenbach in German professional football, made 23 league appearances there and relegated the team to the fourth-class Regional League South at the end of the season . At the end of 2011, his contract was terminated; Mujić moved to the Austrian regional league club FC Pasching , with whom he received a contract that was limited to June 2016.

FC Dornbirn and Black and White Bregenz

After 14 league games and three goals (all scored on the last three match days) he returned to FC Dornbirn. There he played from March 23, 2013 (18th matchday) to 29 May 2013 (made up 28th matchday) 13 league games in the third-class Regionalliga West and scored ten goals; including the three-goal success on the last matchday, in the 5-1 win at home against FC Pinzgau Saalfelden on May 9, 2013 (30th matchday). He then switched to league rivals Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz and was used 13 times in the first half of the season and scored nine goals.

FC St. Gallen II and FC Balzers

From January 1 to September 7, 2017, Mujić was under contract with FC St. Gallen II in the third-class 1st division promotion . He played on loan for FC Schaffhausen and FC Chiasso . He has been active for the fourth-class Liechtenstein club FC Balzers since September 20, 2017 (7th matchday) . He scored his first two goals on October 14, 2017 (10th matchday) in a 3-1 win at home against FC Red Star Zürich with the 2-1 and 3.1 goals in the 71st and 79th minutes.

Via Gossau back to Dornbirn

After a year in Liechtenstein, after Balzers' relegation from the 1st division in the 2018/19 season, he moved to the Swiss fourth division club FC Gossau . After half a year at Gossau, he moved to FC Dornbirn for the third time in January 2019. With Dornbirn he rose again to the second division at the end of the season.

National team

From 2009 to 2010, Mujić played five international matches for Austria's U-20 national team .
