Dietmanns is a market town with 1039 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) in the Waidhofen an der Thaya district in Lower Austria .
geography
The community is located in the northern Waldviertel between Waidhofen an der Thaya and Groß-Siegharts . The main town of the community is the Angerdorf Alt-Dietmanns . The area of the market town covers 6.86 square kilometers. 58.74 percent of the area is forested.

history
Dietmanns was first mentioned in a document in 1496. The Roman Catholic parish of Dietmanns became independent in 1783 in the course of the Josephinist reforms.
