Domingo Díaz Arosemena

Domingo Díaz Arosemena (born June 25, 1875 - † August 23, 1949 ) was the 23rd President of Panama .

He belonged to the influential Arosemena family, which had several presidents in Panama and other Central American countries. On August 7, 1948, he took over the office of President as the successor to Enrique Adolfo Jiménez Brin , after he had already served as Vice-President from 1932 to 1936. For health reasons he resigned from this office on July 28, 1949 and died less than a month later. His successor was Daniel Chanis Pinzón .
