Roberto Francisco Chiari Remón (March 2, 1905 - March 1, 1981 ) was the 31st President of Panama .

Chiari Remón had already been self-proclaimed president for 4 days from November 20 to 24, 1949 after an overthrow , but was not recognized by parliament and therefore not listed as president by official bodies for this time. He had previously served as the country's vice president. On October 1, 1960, he took over, this time officially, the office of President as the successor to Ernesto de la Guardia Navarro and remained in office for the entire intended period until October 1, 1964. He was succeeded by Marco Aurelio Robles Méndez .

During his tenure, the flag dispute between the United States and Panama fell in 1964 .
