José Domingo de Obaldía (born January 30, 1845 in David , Chiriquí Province , Panama , † March 1, 1910 ) was the second President of Panama.

Obaldia came from a respected and well-known family in Panama and studied at a French college in New Haven , Connecticut . After his return to Panama he married Manuela Jovane, also from a respected family, and successfully continued his father's business. After the early death of his wife, he married her sister.

At this time he joined the Partido Liberal Nacional and devoted himself to politics. From 1904 to 1908 he was Vice President of Panama. On October 1, 1908, he took office as the successor to President Manuel Amador Guerrero and remained in office until his death on March 1, 1910. His successor was Carlos Antonio Mendoza .
