The Dossinger Tal is a nature reserve and a supplementary landscape protection area in the area of the Baden-Württemberg community of Neresheim in the Ostalb district .

Characteristics

The area was designated as a nature reserve by ordinance of the Stuttgart regional council of August 31, 1984 and has a size of 22.6 hectares. It is listed under the protected area number 1.124. The CDDA code for the nature reserve is 162790 and corresponds to the WDPA ID . The designation as a landscape protection area was made by ordinance of the then Aalen district of December 5, 1968. The CDDA code for the LSG is 320420.

location

The nature reserve consists of three parts and is located immediately to the north-west of the village of Dorfmerkingen in Neresheim . It is supplemented by the 22 hectare protected landscape area of the same name No. 1.36.008 Dossinger Tal . It is also in the 3,363 hectare FFH area No. 7327-341 Härtsfeld .

The NSG Dossinger Tal is located in the natural area 096- Albuch and Härtsfeld within the natural spatial main unit 09- Swabian Alb .

Protection purpose

The Dossinger Tal is the most impressive, most rugged dry valley in the Härtsfeld. The purpose of the protection is to protect the slopes in the Dossing Valley with an above-average wealth of light and drought-loving flora (steppe heather, steppe heather forest, sheep pasture) and fauna as well as the impressive rock formations.
