Osada Ełk is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , part of the Gmina Ełk ( rural municipality of Lyck ) in the powiat Ełcki ( Lyck district ).

Geographical location

The Osada Ełk is located in the east of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship on the north bank of Lake Lyck ( Jezioro Ełckie in Polish ) on the southwestern edge of the district town of Ełk (Lyck) .

history

There is no evidence of a historical development of Osada Ełk before 1945 or a German name. The place is a settlement of residential and agricultural buildings and was a state farm until 1993 ( Polish Państwowe gospodarstwo rolne - PGR ). The exact name was: Państwowy Ośrodek Hodowli Zarodowej Ełk , which until 1993 also determined the place name: "Ełk POHZ".

With a ministerial order of March 30, 1993, the company in Ośrodek Hodowli Zarodowej Skarbu Państwa Ełk was changed. The settlement is now the seat of its own Schulzenamt ( Polish Sołectwo ) within the Gmina Ełk in the powiat Ełcki , until 1998 of the Suwałki Voivodeship , since then it has belonged to the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship .

Religions

Ecclesiastically, the Osada Ełk is oriented towards the district town of Ełk on both the Protestant and Catholic sides.

The Osada Ełk is on a side street that leads from the town of Ełk via Chruściele (Chrosczellen , 1933–1945 Kreuzfelde) to Szarejki (Sareyken , 1938–1945 Sareiken) . The nearest train station is the main train station in Ełk on the Korsze – Białystok railway line .
