history
The village, once called Borkenhof , emerged from the Wrobel dismantling and was founded on May 4, 1914 as a place to live in the rural community of Borken ( Borki in Polish ). The village was basically just a large courtyard. She was lying in the circle elk in Administrative district Gumbinnen (1905 Government district Allenstein ) in the Prussian province of East Prussia .
As a result of the war, Borkenhof came to Poland in 1945 along with all of southern East Prussia and was given the Polish form of the name Borecki Dwór . Today the place is assigned to the Schulzenamt ( Polish Sołectwo ) Borki (Borken) and thus belongs to the association of Gmina Ełk in the powiat Ełcki , until 1998 the Suwałki Voivodeship , since then it belongs to the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship .
Religions
Until 1945 Borkenhof was parish in the Protestant Church Ostrokollen (1938-1945 Scharfenrade , Polish Ostrykół ) in the church province of East Prussia of the Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Roman Catholic Church of St. Adalbert in Lyck in the Diocese of Warmia .
Today Borecki Dwór belongs to the Catholic parish Nowa Wieś Ełcka (Neuendorf) with the branch church in Bobry (Bobern) in the diocese of Ełk of the Roman Catholic Church in Poland . The Protestant residents stick to the parish in Ełk , a subsidiary of the parish in Pisz ( German Johannisburg ) in the Masurian diocese of the Evangelical Augsburg Church in Poland .
