Zalesie is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Ełk ( rural municipality of Lyck ) in the powiat Ełcki ( Lyck district ).

Zalesie is located in the east of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , nine kilometers north of the district town of Ełk (Lyck) .

There is no evidence of the origin and history of the town of Zalesie, nor is there a possible German past or a German name of the town. Its creation is only possible after 1945.
Zalesie is a village of Gmina Ełk in the powiat Ełcki , before 1998 part of the Suwałki Voivodeship , since then it has belonged to the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship .
