EHF Women's Cup 1996/97

The 1996/97 EHF Cup took part in handball club teams that had qualified for the competition in their home countries in the previous season by placing them in the domestic league. The EHF Cup was played for the fourth time this season. The defending champion from the previous season was the Hungarian team Debreceni VSC .
