Egelreute is a suburb of Burgweiler , one of eight localities in the Baden-Württemberg community of Ostrach in the Sigmaringen district .

Geographical location
The suburb of Egelreute is located seven kilometers south of the center of Ostrach, between Ulzhausen in the north-west, the Pfrunger-Burgweiler Ried in the east, and the district of Pfrungen in the south-east belonging to the municipality of Wilhelmsdorf .
history
The hamlet on the Ried was mentioned several times in the land register of the Beuron monastery around 1300 . In 1454 Eglaruti was owned by the County of Heiligenberg .
Until 1924, Egelreute belonged to Ruschweiler , then to the Burgweiler community association.
In the course of the regional reform in Baden-Württemberg , the municipality of Burgweiler was incorporated into Ostrach on January 1, 1975 with the place Egelreute.

Buildings
In Egelreute the “ Gemeindewaage / Viehwaage ” (parcel 1101; beginning of the 20th century), the “ chapel ” (parcel 1334) and a “field cross ” (parcel 1334; 1887) are under monument protection .
