The Egon-Hofmann-Haus is a studio house with several workshops on the Römerberg in Linz , which was set up in 1957 by the culture ring of Upper Austria's economy and is named after the painter Egon Hofmann .

After completing their training, young artists are given start-up help with the provision of a studio to start an independent artistic career.

building

The studio house consists of a living and working wing, was built in 1955 by Fritz Fanta for the intended purpose and listed on October 15, 2009. The work wing has a slightly sloping northern front and a flat monopitch roof.

Retrospective

In a retrospective called “Door to Door” in 2008, 72 artists who worked for a while “in the Dörfl” (street name) presented one work each and one more recent as part of an exhibition in Nordico Plant.
