Eike Wilm Schulte (born October 13, 1939 in Plettenberg , Westphalia ) is a German opera singer with a baritone voice .

Life and artistic work

Schulte studied singing at the Cologne University of Music , among others with the well-known opera singer and singing teacher Josef Metternich .

His debut as an opera singer took place in 1966 at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf-Duisburg as Sid in the opera Albert Herring by Benjamin Britten . In 1969 Schulte moved to the Bielefeld City Theater , where he was a member of the ensemble until 1973 . During this time Schulte worked on numerous major operatic roles in the subject of the lyric baritone up to the character baritone .
