Endre Kósa (* 18th February 1975 in Miercurea Ciuc ; † 9. November 2015 ) was a Romanian hockey player , the beginning of his career with the HSC Csíkszereda , which by 2010 SC Miercurea Ciuc , in the aforementioned Romanian Hockey League and the MOL League played .
Career
Endre Kósa, who belonged to the Hungarian-speaking Szekler minority in Romania , played since the beginning of his career at what is now HSC Csíkszereda , the traditional Szekler club in Miercurea Ciuc , which until 2010 was called SC Miercurea Ciuc . With his club he won the Romanian championship title in 1997, 2000, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 and the national cup competition in 2001, 2003, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2014 . He also won the Pannonian League in 2004 and the MOL League in 2011 with the team .
Kósa was found dead on November 9, 2015. The police spoke of suicide.
International
Kósa played internationally in contrast to other Szeklers who compete for Hungary , for his native Romania. He was already active in international tournaments as a junior: in 1992 and 1993 he played in the U18 B European Championship. In the U20 division, he competed in the B World Championship in 1994 and the C1 World Championship in 1995 .
Kósa made his debut in the men's national team at the 2001 Division II World Cup in Bucharest , when he and his team were promoted to Division I. He contributed three goals and one assist. He then played in 2002 , 2003 , 2004 , 2005 , 2007 , 2009 , 2012 and 2013 in Division I and after relegations in 2006 , 2008 , 2010 and 2011 in Division II.
He also played for Romania in the qualifying tournaments for the Winter Olympics in Vancouver in 2010 and in Sochi in 2014 .
