Euro City Cup 1993/94

In the Euro-City-Cup 1993/94 28 handball club teams took part, which had qualified in their home countries in the previous season. It was the 1st edition of the newly created City Cup. The cup games began on September 24, 1993 and the second final took place on May 1, 1994. In the final, TUSEM Essen was able to prevail against HK Drott Halmstad.

The competition started with 12 games in the round of 32. The winners advanced to the round of 16, in which other, higher-ranking teams entered. All rounds including the final were carried out in a knockout system with a return leg. The winner of the final was the Euro City Cup winner of the 1993/94 season.

The first leg took place on April 24, 1994 in Halmstad and the second leg on May 1, 1994 in Essen . In the premiere season, TUSEM Essen was the first winner of the Euro City Cup.
