EHF Challenge Cup 2017/18

At the EHF Challenge Cup 2017/18 40 took Handball part -Vereinsmannschaften, who had qualified in the previous season in their home countries for the competition. It was the 18th edition of the Challenge Cup. The defending champion was the Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon . The cup games began on October 6, 2017, with the second final on May 20, 2018. In the final, the Romanian club AHC Potaissa Turda prevailed against the Greek representative AEK Athens .

The competition started with round 2 with 8 games. The winners moved into round 3, in which other higher ranked teams entered. All rounds were played in a knockout system . The winner of the final was the winner of the EHF Challenge Cup in the 2017/18 season.

The first leg took place on May 14, 2018 in Cluj-Napoca and the second leg on May 20, 2018 in Marousi . After losing in the final last year , AHC Potaissa Turda managed to win their first European Cup this time, it is the 6th title of a Romanian team in this competition.
