The superintendent included 28 (as of 1913) Czech-speaking parishes in Moravia . In 1913 it had around 44,000 believers. history

The Evangelical Superintendenty HB Moravia was set up like the Evangelical Superintendentur HB Bohemia in 1785 under Emperor Joseph II .

The superintendents of Moravia were (term of office in brackets):

A neo- Hussite movement emerged in the countries of the Bohemian Crown in the middle of the 19th century . Its Czech-nationally oriented supporters referred to the legacy of the Confessio Bohemica , in contrast to Vienna as a political and ecclesiastical center. The events on the 500th anniversary of the death of Jan Hus in 1905 were a first high point in the endeavor to create a united “Czech national church ”. This should also include the Czech parishes of the Evangelical Church AB in Austria . The Czech parishes AB and HB proclaimed their separation from the Evangelical Churches AB and HB in Austria on December 17, 1918 at a general synod in Prague . This meant the end of the Evangelical Superintendent of HB Moravia. Their congregations joined the United Evangelical Church of the Bohemian Brethren .
