Express AM22 is a television satellite owned by the Russian Satellite Communications Company (RSCC) based in Moscow .
The satellite was geostationary at 53 ° East for over 10 years . Of the total of 24 transponders in the AM22, Eutelsat rented 12 transponders until 2015 and marketed them under the name SESAT 2 .
The satellite was moved from 53 ° East to 80.1 ° East to Express AM2 in mid-2015 . In advance, many channels from the Near and Middle East switched to Eutelsat 21B on 21.6 ° East. The transmission to 53 ° East was taken over by Express AM6 .
