The Faisalabad District is an administrative district in Pakistan in the Punjab Province . The seat of the district administration is the city of the same name Faisalabad . Faisalabad is an urban district and includes Faisalabad (approx. 3.2 million inhabitants), the third largest city in the country.

The district has an area of ​​5856 km² and according to the census of 2017 7,873,910 inhabitants. The population density is 1345 inhabitants / km². The Panjabi language is spoken by the majority in the district .

The district is located in the center of the Punjab Province, which is in western Pakistan.

Demographics
