Sahiwal District is an administrative district in Pakistan in Punjab Province . The seat of the district administration is the city of the same name Sahiwal .

The district has an area of ​​3201 km² and according to the 2017 census 1,995,958 inhabitants. The population density is 624 inhabitants / km². The Punjabi language is spoken by the majority in the district .

The district is located in the center of the Punjab Province, which is in the east of Pakistan.
