Multan District is an administrative district in Pakistan in Punjab Province . The seat of the district administration is the city of the same name Multan .

The district has an area of ​​3721 km² and according to the 2017 census 4,745,109 inhabitants. The population density is 1275 inhabitants / km². The Saraiki language is spoken by the majority in the district .

The Multan district is in the north and northeast of Khanewal , in the east of Vehari and south of Lodhran surrounded. The Chenab River forms the western border with Muzaffargarh .

Demographics
