Sargodha District is an administrative district in Pakistan in the Punjab Province . The seat of the district administration is the city of the same name Sargodha .
The district has an area of 5864 km² and according to the 2017 census 3,703,588 inhabitants. The population density is 632 inhabitants / km². The Panjabi language is spoken by the majority in the district .

The district is located in the north of the Punjab Province, which is in the east of Pakistan.
Demographics
Between 1998 and 2017, the population grew by 1.74% annually. About 29% of the population live in urban areas and about 71% in rural areas. 1,872,170 men, 1,831,114 women and 304 transgender people live in 600,224 households , resulting in a gender ratio of 102.2 men per 100 women, which is a common surplus of men for Pakistan.
