The Ağrı-Ahmed-i Hani airport ( Turkish Ağrı Ahmed-i Hani Havalimanı ) is a Turkish airport near the city of Ağrı . It is operated by the state DHMI . The airport was named after the Kurdish scholar Ehmedê Xanî .
The airport was opened in 1997 and is used exclusively for civil purposes. It has a terminal with a capacity of 120,000 passengers a year and a paved runway that does not have an instrument flight landing system (ILS).
The airport is connected to Ağrı by the D-965 trunk road. There are parking spaces for private cars in front of the terminal. In addition, minibuses connect the airport with the city.
