The Gothenburg Airport / Landvetter is an international airport in Sweden , which is 25 kilometers east of Gothenburg and 40 km west of Boras is. After Stockholm / Arlanda Airport, Gothenburg / Landvetter Airport is the country's second largest airport with around 6.4 million passengers annually (2016). The airport was inaugurated in 1977 and replaced the Gothenburg / Torslanda airport, which had been in use since 1923 .
In addition to Landvetter Airport, Gothenburg has the smaller Gothenburg / Säve Airport .
