The Predigtstuhl in the Lattengebirge is located in the St. Zeno Forest, on the new municipality border between Schneizlreuth and Bad Reichenhall. |
The forest of St. Zeno was a municipality-free area in the Berchtesgadener Land district until December 31, 2010 , with an area of originally 14.89 and most recently 12.27 km². Geographically, the area belongs to the Lattengebirge and is therefore on the northern edge of the Berchtesgaden Alps .
Between 1975 and 1979 the northern part with an area of 261.63 hectares was incorporated into Bayerisch Gmain . As a result was rounding of the spatial cut hitherto Gemeindegebiets reached, and the remaining area of the unincorporated area decreased from 14.89 to 12.27 sq km.
On January 1, 2011, the community-free area was completely dissolved and divided between the city of Bad Reichenhall and the community of Schneizlreuth . The parcels with the numbers 35, 36, 36/2, 36/3, 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 60, 61, 62, 62/8 were transferred to the city of Bad Reichenhall , 62/9, 63 and 64 with a total area of 260.50 hectares and the parcels with the numbers 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 41/2, 42, 43, 46, 47, 47/1, 65, 68, 69, 70, 70/1, 71, 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, 77, 78, 79, 80, 81, 82, 83, 84, 85, 87, 89, 90, 91, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 100, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 109, 110, 111, 114, 115, 116, 117, 118, 121, 122, 123, 124 and 125 with a total area of 966.50 hectares. In addition, parcel No. 24/1 in the "Forst St. Zeno" district was moved from the municipality of Bayerisch Gmain to Schneizlreuth at the same time .
Each of the three affected communities has a district called Forst St. Zeno :
- Bayerisch Gmain: district 0 (261.80 ha )
- Bad Reichenhall: District part 2 (290.10 ha)
- Schneizlreuth: District 3 (996.50 ha)
In the area are the Moosen-Alm , the Dalsenalm , the Lattenbergalm , the Untere Schlegel-Alm , which had already been abandoned once, but was rebuilt in 1978, and the abandoned alpine pastures Obere Schlegel-Alm and Rötelbach-Alm . The buildings of the Moosen-Alm, the Dalsenalm and the Untere Schlegel-Alm are protected architectural monuments .
The Predigtstuhlbahn leads from the Bad Reichenhall district of Karlstein to the 1614 meter high Predigtstuhl , where the Teisendorfer Hütte self-catering hut of the Teisendorf Alpine Club section and the Predigtstuhl Hotel are located. The district boundary runs near the summit. The mountain station and hotel, which together with their parcels since 2015, form the new district Auf dem Predigtstuhl , as well as the Teisendorfer Hütte, belong to the Bad Reichenhall district, while the summit is in the Forst St. Zeno district.
No part of the former community-free area of Forst St. Zeno borders on the former community of St. Zeno (since 1905 a district of the city of Bad Reichenhall), as could be assumed due to the similarity of names. The two areas are separated by a distance of at least 1200 meters running through the Bayerisch Gmain district.
