Reviews

In the Fono Forum Frank Siebert described the expressive, melancholic depth and urgency of Piemontesi's interpretation of Mozart's sonatas, which seem to touch the essence of the music. The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung attested that Piemontesi had a subtle touch technique, expressiveness and technical perfection for his interpretation of Brahms' 2nd piano concerto with the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra . The Neue Zürcher Zeitung called Piemontesi a "sound magician". The English newspaper The Independent described a performance of Debussy's Preludes as breathtaking and praised its flawless technique, which he put entirely at the service of his very original interpretation. The English music writer Jeremy Nicholas placed Piedmontesi's recording of the 24 Preludes by Claude Debussy in a row with the legendary interpretations by Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli and Marc-André Hamelin .
