Frank-Christian Hansel (born November 19, 1964 in Wiesbaden ) is a German philosopher , politician ( AfD ) and management consultant .

Life

Hansel studied political science , philosophy and Latin American studies in Munich and Berlin. After the fall of the Wall , Hansel was the head of the office of the head of the magistrate's office in the Berlin City Hall and in 1991 moved to the Treuhandanstalt Berlin . In 1995 he founded the company CubaCon , with which he advised German companies in Cuba and Latin America and organized several German-Cuban business days in Berlin, which were led by the then BDI President Hans-Olaf Henkel and the Investment Minister of the Republic of Cuba Ibrahim Ferradáz García im Ludwig -Erhard-Haus took place under the patronage of the then Federal Economics Minister Werner Müller . From 2002 to 2012 Hansel was managing director of Germany and from 2013 to January 2015 liquidator of the Spanish real estate company Metrovacesa .

politics

Hansel was a member of the SPD in the early 1990s . In 2013 he was a founding member of the AfD Berlin and its first treasurer . From October 2013 to November 2014 he was federal manager of the AfD and in the meantime managing director of the AfD parliamentary group in the Brandenburg state parliament . In the election for the Berlin House of Representatives in 2016 , Hansel moved into the Berlin House of Representatives . Hansel is the treasurer of the AfD Berlin . He is considered a representative of the liberal wing.

In a plenary debate on Berlin Brandenburg Airport in November 2017 , Hansel caused a scandal when, after speeches by the Greens , CDU and SPD, he said that these were presented according to the motto "Pack gets along, Pack strikes". The proverb used by Hansel , which, according to Duden, means that arguments and quarrels are not to be taken seriously with people without a sense of honor , caused outrage.

Shortly before André Poggenburg's resignation as state and parliamentary group chairman of the AfD Saxony-Anhalt in March 2018, Hansel demanded: "We have to throw certain people who keep shooting cross-cuts out of the party." Otherwise, no bourgeois majorities could be organized. They don't want the party to be ruined.

At the beginning of September 2018, Hansel took part in a silent march in Chemnitz together with Pegida founder Lutz Bachmann . A federal convention of the AfD had been shortened at his request so that party members could travel to Chemnitz for this rally . Also in September 2018, he caused a stir with a counteraction to a satirical video by the artist Christian Brandes , which led to anti-Semitic abuse and death threats against the (non-Jewish) artist and his family. Brandes, artist name Schlecky Silberstein , had previously filmed a parody of the right-wing marches and riots in Chemnitz on August 27, 2018 for the satirical online show Bohemian Browser Ballet of the SWR in Berlin-Lichtenberg .
