Frank Campbell (born March 27, 1858 in Bath , New York , † February 20, 1924 ) was an American banker and politician ( Democratic Party ). He was the son of Lieutenant Governor Robert Campbell (1808-1870) and Frances Fowler Campbell.

Career

Frank Campbell attended Haverling Academy as well as a facility in Trenton ( New Jersey ). He was married to Mary Louise Willson († 1914). The couple had a son, Willson R. Campbell. With his brother Clarence he founded the Campbell Brothers Bank in Bath in 1880 . After the dissolution of his partnership, he founded the Farmers & Mechanics Bank of Bath , where he worked as treasurer until 1922 and then as president.

Campbell was elected New York State Comptroller in 1891 and held this post between 1892 and 1893. He suffered defeat on his reelection attempt in 1893. He also took part in 1892 as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago . Campbell chaired the New York State Democratic Committee between 1898 and 1904 .
