Gabriel Teodoro Martinelli Silva (born June 18, 2001 in Guarulhos ) is a Brazilian football player who plays as a winger for Arsenal FC .

Career

Martinelli started playing for Corinthians São Paulo in 2010, where he started on the futsal team . From 2015 he played for Ituano FC . Soon after, he completed trial training at Manchester United and FC Barcelona . On November 4, 2017, Martinelli signed his first professional contract with Ituano, which would have been valid until October 2022. He made his professional debut the following March 17 in the São Paulo State Championship . At the age of 16 years and nine months, he became the youngest player to make his debut for the club in the 21st century . He was voted into the best team of this year's national championship in 2019.

On July 2, 2019, he signed a five-year contract with Arsenal. He made his league debut on August 11, 2019 in a 1-0 away win against Newcastle United when he came on for Henrich Mchitarjan in the 84th minute . On September 24, Martinelli scored a brace in his first starting eleven for the club in a 5-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the League Cup . On October 3, 2019, he scored two goals in his UEFA Europa League debut against Standard Liège .
