Reiss Luke Nelson (born December 10, 1999 in London ) is an English football player . The right winger is under contract with Arsenal and is an English U21 international .
Career
societies
Nelson, son of a father from Zimbabwe and a British mother, moved to Arsenal FC's youth academy in 2007 . He made his debut for the club's first team on August 6, 2017 in the FA Community Shield game against Chelsea . In the game Nelson came on in the 87th minute for Danny Welbeck and won the game on penalties with his team . In the 2017/18 season Nelson was used by coach Arsène Wenger three times in the Premier League .
At the end of August 2018, Nelson was loaned to the Bundesliga club TSG 1899 Hoffenheim until the end of the 2018/19 season. On his Bundesliga debut on September 15, 2018, the 3rd matchday of that season, he also scored his first Bundesliga goal to equalize in the 2-1 away defeat against Fortuna Düsseldorf . Nelson won the Bundesliga Rookie Award in October 2018 . With TSG, he failed to qualify for a European competition as ninth in the table. The winger contributed seven goals in 23 appearances and was retired in the last game of the season.
National team
Nelson goes through since the U16 youth national teams of the English Football Association . In May 2016 he took part in the U17 European Championship in Azerbaijan with the U17 national team. Nelson was used four times in the tournament, scored three goals and failed with his team in the quarter-finals to Spain .
