Her artistic career began in 1993 in London . In 2004 she returned to Germany and from 2010 worked initially on a fee basis for the autism clinic in Leipzig . She has been working as a freelance speaker on autism and art since 2013. Since her time in London she has appeared as an artist under the pseudonym Bareface (bare = unveiled / face = face). The Art of Inclusion project

Gee Vero and Silvio Neuendorf in the Kleisthaus , May 2014

In 2010 the artist started the project The Art of Inclusion . Vero sends an unfinished portrait to personalities from politics, sport, science or culture. It usually consists of one right half of the face, which is drawn with a few black lines on watercolor paper. She asks those who have written to add the work of art according to their ideas. Two - mostly personally unknown - people create an individual work of art. By 2014, more than 100 portraits had been created in this way. The “artists” involved include, for example, Angela Merkel , Udo Lindenberg , Ben Kingsley , Manfred Krug , Herbert Feuerstein and Dieter Hallervorden . 40 selected works were on view from May to June 2014 in the Kleisthaus in Berlin . In order to enable blind people to participate in the works of art, three selected works of art were created as reliefs especially for the exhibition . The Federal Government Commissioner for the Disabled, Verena Bentele, praised her work on the occasion of the vernissage as a “vivid and lively example of inclusion . They are an appeal from an autistic artist to promote respect, togetherness and equality between all people in our society - regardless of individual abilities, ethnic or social origin, gender or age. ”Then Gee Vero designed a new, together with illustrator Silvio Neuendorf common portrait. The art historian Bernd Apke sees a passion of the artist in the recurring concept . Vero's work turns the reactions of the people contacted into self-portraits of those who are contacted: “Everyone is an artist”. At the same time, the question arises as to why the artist has exposed herself to the “creative reactions” of other people for many years. Apke therefore sees the artistic concept of Gee Vero in the questions about “external and self-image creators, according to modes of perception and staging”.
