The municipality Gross Lassowitz ( Polish: Gmina Lasowice Wielkie ) is a rural municipality in the powiat Kluczborski of the Opole Voivodeship in Poland . Your seat is the village of the same name (outdated Polish-Lassowitz , 1936-1945 Oberwalden ) with about 750 inhabitants.

The rural community has been bilingual (Polish and German) since 2006.

geography

The community borders in the north on the district town of Kluczbork (Kreuzburg OS) and is located in Upper Silesia . The voivodeship capital Opole (Opole) in the southwest is about 25 kilometers away. Parts of the landscape protection park Stobrawski Park Krajobrazowy , which is named after the river Stobrawa (Stober) , are located in the municipality .

history

The municipality came to the Opole Voivodeship in 1950, which changed its layout several times until 1999.

Until 1954, the rural community Gmina Lasowice Małe existed in the powiat Oleski, with its seat in Klein Lassowitz . In 1973 the rural community was reorganized, but the seat moved to Lasowice Wielkie. Two years later, the powiat Oleski was dissolved. When it was re-established, however, the community came to Powiat Kluczborski (Powiat Kreuzburg) , the long membership in the district of Rosenberg OS or Powiat Oleski was thus ended.

According to the last Polish census in 2002, 37.76% of the community population belong to the German minority , and a further 1.71% described themselves as " Silesians ". The rural community has been officially bilingual since 2006, and additional German place names were introduced on August 16, 2010.
