Georg Ludwig von Lentzke

Georg Ludwig von Lentzke (born May 27, 1716 in Berlin ; † 1793 ) was a Prussian officer, most recently in the rank of lieutenant colonel and commander of the 5th standing grenadier battalion .

Life

Origin and family

Lentzke came from an aristocratic family from Central Markets . His parents were the heir to Lentzke Werner von Lentzke and Eve Elisabeth von Bredow adH Friesack .

Career

Lentzke began his career in 1729 as a cadet . In 1731 he became a page with Prince Leopold von Anhalt-Dessau and took part in the campaign against France on the Rhine as an ensign in his imperial contingent . In 1736 he appeared as a second lieutenant with patent of August 1st Infantry Regiment. 33 in Prussian service over. In 1743 he was transferred to the "von Rath" grenadier battalion . On 28 October 1749, he became ibid. To first lieutenant , 1760 to staff captain , in 1763 the real captain , and finally in 1776 to Major and commander. As such, he swaggered in the War of the Bavarian Succession .

He had previously participated in all the Silesian Wars for the Prussians. For example, he was captured with the Fouqué Corps at Landeshut .

In August 1789, for health reasons, Lentzke received his farewell with a salary of grace and the character of a lieutenant colonel, but is said to have died with the rank of colonel .
