Georg Adolf Friedrich von Krosigk (born June 3, 1854 in Halle (Saale) , † August 8, 1912 in Eisenach ) was a Prussian lieutenant general .

Life

origin

George was a son of the secret government and district administrator of the hall circle Kurt von Krosigk (1819-1898) and his wife ARMGARD, nee von Haeseler (1822-1891) from the house Klosterhäseler . The Prussian Lieutenant General Max von Krosigk (1846-1919) was his older brother.

Military career

Krosigk attended grammar school in his hometown and joined the Prussian Army on October 11, 1873 as a three-year-old volunteer with the 11th Company of the 1st Guard Regiment . By mid-February 1875 he was promoted to second lieutenant , in 1877/83 he was adjutant of the 2nd battalion and then regimental adjutant. As Prime Lieutenant Krosigk was commanded from May 1, 1886 to the General Staff and aggregated to the General Staff of the Army on March 22, 1887 . At the beginning of April 1887 he was assigned to the General Staff of the XIII under position à la suite . (Royal Württemberg) Army Corps in Stuttgart . As lieutenant general, he was commander of the 28th division in Karlsruhe from January 27, 1910 and received the star for the Order of the Red Eagle, 2nd class with oak leaves , on the occasion of the festival in January 1912 . Due to a serious nervous problem, Krosigk had to say goodbye and was therefore put up for disposal on April 2, 1912, with the award of the Order of the Crown, 1st class with a pension .

He was a legal knight of the Order of St. John and died unmarried in a train accident in Eisenach.
