The Gmina Dobczyce is an urban-and-rural municipality in the powiat Myślenicki in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship in Poland . The seat is the city of the same name with about 6400 inhabitants.
geography
The municipality is located about ten kilometers south of the outskirts of Kraków in the Pogórze Wiśnickie part of the foothills of the Western Beskids . The river Raba flows through the town and is dammed into the Jezioro Dobczyckie reservoir.
history
From 1975 to 1998 the municipality was part of the Kraków Voivodeship .

The town-and-country municipality Dobczyce is divided into the eponymous town and 13 villages with school offices (sołectwa):
Bieńkowice, Brzączowice, Brzezowa, Dziekanowice , Kędzierzynka, Kornatka, Niezdów, Nowa Wieś, Rudnik, Sieraków, Skrzynka, Stadniki, Stojowice.
traffic
Dobczyce is crossed by two provincial roads. The voivodship road DW 967 runs in a west-east direction, which joins DK 7 ( Europastraße 77 ) in the west after twelve kilometers . In the east it flows before Bochnia . Just before Bochnia it joins DK 4 ( Europastraße 40 ).
The nearest international airport is Kraków-Balice , which is about 30 kilometers northwest of Dobczyce.
