traffic
Streets
In the village of Gardeja, the voivodship road DW 523 and the DW 532 coming from Kwidzyn via Sadlinki meet the state road DK 55 (former German Reichsstraße 129 ).
The important national road DK 55 runs through the western part of the rural municipality in a north-south direction, which connects the municipality with Grudziądz and Stolno in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship from Nowy Dwór Gdański (Tiegenhof) and Malbork (Marienburg (West Prussia)) . DW 523 leads through the municipality in an east-west direction, which at Trumieje (Groß Tromnau) connects to the voivodship road DW 522 ( Sztum (Stuhm) - Prabuty (Riesenburg) - Kisielice (Freystadt) ), which grazes the east of the Gmina .
rails
The Gmina Gardeja has a train station on the state railway line 207 , which connects Toruń (Thorn) and Grudziądz with Kwidzyn and Malbork. This railway line was opened in 1882/1883. Because of the lakes and rivers, the station was built two kilometers south of the city. This station came to Poland in 1920 and was named Gardeja . It was allowed to be used by the Germans until 1927.
Between 1886 and 1979 a railway line branched off in Gardeja / Garnsee (1939–1945: Garnsee Süd ) to the neighboring town of Łasin (Lessen) . The current area of Gmina Gardeja was crossed from northwest to southeast by the now disused railway line from Kwidzyn / Marienwerder to Kisielice / Freystadt and Biskupiec / Bischofswerder - with three railway stations in today's municipal area.
