Golfo del Tigullio-Portofino
Golfo del Tigullio-Portofino or simply Portofino is a wine-growing region in the northern Italian province of Genoa in the Liguria region . Since September 1, 1997, the wines have had the status of a controlled designation of origin Denominazione di origine controllata , which was last updated on March 7, 2014.
Growing area
Cultivation is in the municipalities of Avegno , Bargagli , Bogliasco , Borzonasca , Camogli , Carasco , Casarza Ligure , Castiglione Chiavarese , Chiavari , Cicagna , Cogorno , Coreglia Ligure , Davagna , Favale di Malvaro , Lavagna , Leivi , Lumarzo , Mezzanego , Moneglia , Ne , Neirone , Orero , Pieve Ligure , Portofino , Rapallo , Recco , San Colombano Certénoli , Santa Margherita Ligure , Sestri Levante , Sori , Tribogna , Uscio and Zoagli as well as in parts of the municipalities of Genoa , Lorsica and Mocònesi .
Manufacturing
The following types of wine are produced:
- as cuvée ( blended wine ):
- Golfo del Tigullio-Portofino bianco or Portofino bianco (also as Spumante , Frizzante and Passito ): at least 60% Vermentino and / or Bianchetta Genovese . A maximum of 40% other analogous grape varieties that are approved for cultivation in the Liguria region may be added.
- Golfo del Tigullio-Portofino rosso and rosato or Portofino rosso or Portofino rosato (also as Frizzante and Novello ): at least 60% Ciliegiolo and / or Dolcetto . A maximum of 40% other analogous grape varieties that are approved for cultivation in the Liguria region may be added.
- as almost single-origin wines: they must contain at least 85% of the grape variety mentioned. A maximum of 15% other analogue grape varieties that are approved for cultivation in the Liguria region may be added.
- Golfo del Tigullio-Portofino Bianchetta Genovese or Portofino Bianchetta Genovese
- Golfo del Tigullio-Portofino Vermentino or Portofino Vermentino
- Golfo del Tigullio-Portofino Ciliegiolo or Portofino Vermentino

- Golfo del Tigullio-Portofino Scimiscià (Cimixa) or Portofino Scimiscià
