Gothendorf is a district of the Arberg market in the Central Franconian district of Ansbach .

geography

The hamlet belongs to the Mörsach district and is around three and a half kilometers east of the center of Arberg. The Mörsacher Graben flows south of the village. In the west lies the Hirtenbuck , in the northeast the corridor area Lange Läng . Communal roads lead to Mörsach on the district road AN 55 (0.7 km northeast), to Georgenhaag on the state road 2222 (0.7 km southwest) and to Unterschönau (1.5 km northwest).

history

In 1615, six properties belonging to the Eichstätt monastery in Gothendorf were subject to interest (for comparison: in 2002 the hamlet had eight properties). At the end of the Old Kingdom (1800) "Gottendorf" was still a "completely Eichstätt" hamlet with six subjects "together with a shepherd"; the hamlet was parish after Mörsach and with Mörsach to Ornbau and was subordinate to the administration and caste office Arberg-Ornbau with the village and community rulership and the Fraisch .

In the course of the Reichsdeputation Hauptschluss , the Eichstätt Monastery was secularized in 1802 . In 1806 Gothendorf became royal Bavarian. With the community edict (early 19th century), the place was assigned to the tax district Arberg and the rural community Mörsach . On January 1, 1971, Gothendorf was incorporated into the Arberg market as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
