Grabówko (German Neu Martinshagen ) is a village in Western Pomerania , now in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship . It belongs to the urban and rural municipality Sianów ( Zanow ) in the powiat Koszaliński ( Köslin ).

Geographical location

Grabówko can be reached in two kilometers from a spur road that branches off in Pękanino ( Panknin ) from state road 6 , which is also European route 28 , Stettin - Danzig . The nearest train station is Wiekowo ( Alt Wieck ) on the Stargard Szczeciński – Gdańsk railway line .

Place name

The German name Neu Martinshagen distinguishes the place from the two kilometers northeast of the village Martinshagen (Polish: Grabowo), which was called "Alt" Martinshagen in the colloquial language until 1945 .

history

The elongated loose village settlement New Martin Hagen has been created in the first half of the 19th century, probably on the site of the former Vorwerk Damerow (Polish: Dąbrowa) in the course of meanness division of the Hard Bergisch stone reforms . This also explains why the place was a village of the Damerow community until 1945 and did not belong to Martinshagen. Today the separation is even more pronounced, because Grabówko belongs to the Gmina Sianów ( Zanow ), while Grabowo is in the area of the Gmina Malechowo ( Malchow ).

In 1864 Neu Martinshagen had 201 inhabitants and was then integrated into the population of the Damerow community.

Until 1945, Neu Martinshagen was part of the municipality of Damerow in the district of Panknin in the district of Schlawe i. Pom. incorporated in the administrative district of Köslin . In the registry office, Neu Martinshagen also belonged to Panknin.

church

Neu Martinshagen was predominantly Protestant until 1945 and parish with Damerow (Dąbrowa), Martinshagen (Grabowo), Panknin (Pękanino) in the parish of Damerow, which also included the subsidiary community of Zitzmin (Sieciemin). The parish was located in the parish of Rügenwalde in the church province of Pomerania of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . The last German clergyman was Pastor Hans Meinhof.

Today Grabówko is predominantly Catholic . Evangelical church members are cared for by the Koszalin ( Köslin ) parish in the Pomerania-Greater Poland diocese of the Evangelical-Augsburg (i.e. Lutheran) Church .

school

In Neu Martinshagen there was a school with a teacher's apartment until 1945. The last German school holder was teacher Gürtler.
